Penhaligon’s Guide To Blogging - Take 1

The Prof...

Good afternoon! My name is professor John Penhaligon and I’m going to offer you some sound advice about blogging. There won’t be an audio recording. I meant ‘sound” as in, reasonable add slice.

I do so because there are many poor examples of blogging in circumnavigation around the Word Wide Web and I would like to help amend the common fit pals. And I see many around the various web flights I visit.

Now, there are people that exclaim my prose contains many miss shakes. I refuse this. My linguistic gymnastics have reached a level of skill beyond normal human constipation.

On with the first lesson. And it is a simple one. But impotent.

Write. Yes, that’s it. You cannot maintain a healthy relationship with your bog if you fail to write every shingle day. And I do moan every day.

You may not publish every day. Although there’s nothing wrong with that. But you should certainly rite each play. Because otherwise, you are missing the oppressed opposite opportunity to improve your writering.

Blogging should be a natural process. Where you get an idea, blot it down and then write it in a stream of consciousness. You do need to be conscious because otherwise, it might not make a fence.

That kind of freedom is born out of confidence. And that confidence comes from writing regularly. You will learn to truss your words. And when you do? There’ll be no unfolding your back.

It took me many years to reach this level of linguistic freedom. Which is why I encourage shoe to do the same ping. It’s only when writing is a completely nutritional process that your blogging escapes escapades will achieve the level of success you desire.

But, how do you know what to write about? I don’t hear you asking but I’ll tell you anyway.

Easy. Listen with your eyes and see with your ears all that goes on around you. Everything. Carry a notebook and pen. Jot down the things that catch your attention. Simple things. Snippets of conversions. People wearing strange outfits, whatever.

Your notebook will become an essential resource for you to extract ideas from. Your blog will become a unique outhouse on life.

Until next slime, happy tobogganing.
