Meet The Editor

Stan Willows was editing newspapers when you still had to wait for the ink to dry.

He edits for me now. And it was him that got we sticking to the 100-word Drabble format.

“Aye lad, I did. No point waffling on!”

(He also interrupts me while I’m writing.)

“I have to, otherwise readers will think I’m not real.”

“You are real enough to me, Stan.”

“Yes, but your readers need to know!”

“Right, Stan. Why don’t you write something to prove it?”

“Ooh, I don’t write, laddie.”

“Why not?”

“Being an editor is more rewording.”

(Feel free to groan.)
