We use proper source code management at our—
GIT!!!
Yes, thank you Sprocket.
As I was say—
GIT!! GITTT!!
Alright. That is what we’re us—
BISCUITS!!!
No. No, that’s not—
[Sprocket whirrs violently. A biscuit tin is launched across the room.]
Let’s try this again.
We use proper source code management at our agency. Git keeps things tidy. Trackable. Safe. Sensible. It stops developers from hurling laptops out of windows when someone overwrites their CSS.
Unless, of course, you give version control responsibilities to a cartoon robot with unresolved biscuit issues.
“I HAVE MERGED THE BISCUITS.”
“You’ve what?”
[long robotic pause]
“There were… conflicts.”
Anyway.
I’ll be back soon with a sensible post about branching strategies.
Assuming Sprocket hasn’t stashed the main branch in the biscuit barrel.
