The Egg Fiasco

Bethany, our online groceries delivery driver, arrived. We exchanged the usual pleasant greetings.

And then we began offloading the baskets she’d bought containing our shopping.

All normal. She’s head to her truck, bring some basket, we’d empty them.

Then, she disappeared for longer than usual. She arrived back with a sack trolley and 12 empty baskets. She set them all out in a row on our drive.

Mary looked at me, I looked back.

“What are you doing?” We said in unison.

“You’ve got eggs on your shopping order.”

“So?”

“Well, you shouldn’t put all your eggs in one basket!”
